INTRODUCTION: CAN AI CREATE EMOTIONALLY MOVING ART?

Art has long been considered a form of self-expression, a means for artists to convey emotions, ideas, and messages through visual or auditory forms.

Self-expression gives art its uniqueness, making it subject to the artist’s ideas, feelings and emotions. However, with the advent of technology, particularly AI, the concept of what constitutes “expressive art” is being challenged.

The question arises: can emotionless AI truly create art that evokes emotions in the same way humans create?

BOTTO: UNLOCKING THE POTENTIAL OF COLLABORATIVE ART WITH AI AND DECENTRALISATION

Are you intrigued by the potential of AI and decentralisation to revolutionise the art world?

Introducing Botto, a cutting-edge platform that combines the power of AI and blockchain technology to create truly collaborative art.

With its unique ability to learn and adapt its creative expression based on community feedback, Botto is like a virtual art studio that is constantly evolving.

However, what sets Botto apart from other art-creation platforms?

Let’s explore the inner workings of this innovative technology.

Botto – a decentralised autonomous artist.

I. The AI Engine and Art Creation

Botto’s AI engine is like a virtual art studio, equipped with various software models, each representing different “art supplies”, like paints, brushes, and pens.

These models have been trained on a vast library of art, images, and written works, giving Botto the ability to create art in a wide range of styles and themes, just like a master artist.

The engine creates images using text prompts generated by an algorithm sent to different software models like Stable Diffusion and VQGAN + CLIP.

These models generate a wide range of possible images and can also understand humans’ emotional associations with imagery or text.

With 300 images generated each day, and 350 images selected each week to be voted on by the community, Botto’s AI engine is constantly learning and adapting its creative expression based on feedback from the community.

And with new rounds starting every Tuesday, the AI engine is also directed to surprise and challenge the audience by presenting a diverse range of images.

II. The Community (BottoDAO)

But where does the community come in?

An important part of Botto is The Botto community, a Decentralised Autonomous Organization (DAO). To ensure full decentralization, choices made in the community are governed through proposals and votes.

Community participants become eligible to vote by holding and staking the $BOTTO token (the project’s native cryptocurrency).

Staking $BOTTO generates Voting Points (VP), which can be spent on voting on preferred outcomes of Botto’s art.

From the community votes, one piece is chosen to be minted as an NFT and put up as a piece for auction.

III. Auctions

And what happens to these pieces of art once they are created? Botto auctions them on the SuperRare platform, where they will retain 85% of proceeds, and 15% goes to SuperRare as a fee.

Commission from secondary market sales goes to Botto’s treasury, with an equivalent amount of $BOTTO being burned. Proceeds from ETH auctions are distributed to Active Rewards Contract, Retroactive Rewards and DAO treasury, with 20% of revenue in $BOTTO burned.

INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGY MEETS ARTISTIC EXPRESSION: THE BENEFITS OF BOTTO’S PLATFORM

One potential benefit of Botto is its ability to democratise the art world. With Botto, artists have a new platform to showcase and sell their work, regardless of location or traditional art world connections.

This could lead to a more diverse and inclusive art market, with a wider range of voices and perspectives represented.

Another benefit of Botto is its use of blockchain technology. This means that artwork on the platform is recorded on a tamper-proof digital ledger, providing proof of authenticity and ownership.

This added layer of security could greatly benefit both artists and collectors, as it ensures that the artwork is genuine and can be traced back to its original creator.

Botto could also make art collecting more accessible to a wider audience. Using cryptocurrency, artworks can be purchased easily and at a lower cost, opening the art market to a new group of potential buyers.

CONCLUSION

BOTTO: THE FUTURE OF ART OR A STEP TOO FAR FROM HUMAN EXPRESSIONS?

In conclusion, Botto is a revolutionary platform that uses AI and blockchain technology to facilitate collaborative art creation. By harnessing the power of AI, Botto can create a vast array of images in a wide range of styles and themes, similar to a virtual art studio.

As a Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO), the Botto community plays a crucial role in the platform’s governance, allowing for collective creativity and participation.

However, the question remains, can an emotionless AI truly create art that evokes emotions in the same way that art created by humans does? It’s like comparing a machine-made symphony to a live performance, both can be impressive, but one can evoke a deeper emotional response.

Ultimately, whether Botto is the future of art or a step too far from human expression is yet to be determined. Still, it definitely pushes the boundaries of what is possible in the world of art and technology.
